The Cantata Singers, based in Elmira, NY, were founded in 1964 as a community-based choral organization dedicated to providing local residents the opportunity to perform in, and listen to, great classical choral works. Since the beginning, we have performed over 150 free concerts throughout the Southern-Tier region. Our season typically consists of three performances, an Advent-Christmas concert, the opening concert of the popular 'Festival of Women in the Arts' and a May concert that's likely to include just about anything from Bach to the works of contemporary composers.
