The Festival of Women in the Arts is a grassroots celebration of art by, for and about women in the Southern Finger Lakes Area of Upstate New York.

The Festival encourages collaborations between singers, schools, artists and cultural organizations. Performances take place throughout the Southern Tier Region during the month of March, Women's History month. Hundreds of artists have performed for thousands of area residents. The Festival was the concept of director Will Wickham in 2008 and continued annually through 2013.

The Festival of Women in the Arts was made possible, in part, with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts' Decentralization Program, administered locally by The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes; the Allstate Hands in the Community Foundation, courtesy of Nagle Financial Services; and was sponsored by The Cantata Singers, with support from F. M. Howell & Company and Howell, Liberatore & Associates; and Glenora Wine Cellars.

The crowd listens as Martha Horton reads her poem “Reflections of Florence and Richard Maury” at the 2011 version of Sage Daughters of the Muses.
